AC Shadows Unveils Surprising Attack on Titan Crossover for Thanksgiving
In a unexpected partnership that breaks traditional forecasts, Ubisoft has announced an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.
Strange Questline Disclosed
According to the authorized announcement, "A strange confrontation leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where whispers of forbidden rituals and terrifying changes echo through the obscurity." The plot introduces a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who charges the characters with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a clandestine sect.
The questline centers on "bizarre trials and a terrifying enemy" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Settings and Transformations
The trailer highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser concludes with a powerful sequence showing a character, likely the hostage, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Rewards and Bonus Features
Players who accomplish the mission will obtain an exclusive katana together with numerous artifacts hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

This update also brings the game's third free story addition, titled "A Puzzlement."
